The South African National Committee of the International Association of Hydrological Scientists (SANCIAHS) is excited to host the 2017 International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) Scientific Assembly in Port Elizabeth, South Africa from the 10th to 14th of July 2017. The theme of the meeting is "Water and Development: scientific challenges in addressing societal issues” which is particularly appropriate in the context of an IAHS Scientific Assembly meeting being held for the first time in sub-Saharan Africa and is well aligned with the IAHS scientific decade of Panta Rhei.
IAHS, a non-profit making non-governmental scientific organization registered in the UK with over 7 000 members in almost 200 countries. The South African branch of IAHS (SANCIAHS) is a strong and active network which has represented South African hydrologists for nearly 40 years recently hosting it's 18th national symposium. SANCIAHS is joined by WaterNet as a major scientific partner in hosting the 2017 Scientific Assembly. WaterNet is a southern Africa regional network of university departments and research and training institutes active in integrated water resources management.

It is anticipated that 2017 IAHS Scientific Assembly will be attended by about 400 delegates from several countries. SANCIAHS would like to offer your organisation the opportunity of exposure at the event through sponsorship. Please find the details of sponsorship packages available below.
