Biography

Mr Simphiwe Ngcobo is currently a Hydrology Lecturer at the Centre for Water Resources at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His research interests include understanding the dynamics between anthropogenic global change (land use change and climate change) and hydrological processes and responses; the application of hydrological modelling in impact studies; mapping the impacts of global change on water resources across various spatial and temporal scales; and water resources policy development and resource governance. He was previously employed as a Hydrologist by Eskom Holdings and Jones and Wagener Engineering and Environmental Consultants. He is currently pursuing a PhD focused on detailing the multiscale drivers and impacts of land use change on water resources across Southern Africa..
