Visas

South Africa does not require visas for residents of many countries, visiting in the tourist or business category, if the intended visit is to be less than 30 days. Other countries may require visas, but may be exempt from fees. So, the first task is to determine whether you need a visa or not. http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/apply-for-a-south-african-visa

Since the list of countries is subject to change at short notice, we will not provide the list that is currently in the web page, above. If, after examining the list, you determine that a visa is required, this would be applied for from the South African Consulate in your country. General turn around time for visa applications with full documentation, is listed as 5 to 10 days. However, early application is recommended.

Medical

Covid-19

Current regulations for entry to South require:

  • If you are fully vaccinated, proof of vaccination
  • If you are not fully vaccinated, proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival in South Africa.

Appropriate protocols will be followed during the meeting and gatherings.

Medical facilities are available in the Skukuza camp, to have a PCR test done prior to your departure, should this be required for your return journey.

Malaria

The Kruger National Park is located in a Malaria area. Although the risks are considered low, there have been recent cases. The Kirkham Conference is also to take place outside of the mosquito season. Nevertheless, precautions are recommended, including anti-malaria medication. For guidance, please visit:
